Technology Strategy

Technology Strategy Assessment

Before you make a big technology decision, get a professional look at where your business stands. You walk away with a clear roadmap for what to do next.

From $3,500 Starting price · Scoped to your business

What it covers

A real look at where your technology actually stands. We map what's deployed, what's licensed, what's actually being used, and what's quietly costing you money. Then we deliver a prioritized 12-month roadmap for where to invest next. No upsell agenda.

Microsoft 365 and Azure footprint

Licenses, security posture, identity setup, data sprawl.

Cyber insurance readiness

The baseline protections insurers actually check for.

Software stack and contracts

What you're paying for, what you're using, and what's overlapping.

Workflow and automation gaps

Where your team is doing manual work that shouldn't be manual.

Single points of failure

The one person, one server, or one vendor who could take you offline.

The next 12 months

What to invest in, what to leave alone, and what to walk away from.

What you get

Three deliverables, in this order.

01

Written report

Delivered ahead of your review meeting. Read it first, come with questions.

02

90-minute review meeting

We walk through findings, answer questions, agree on next steps.

03

Meeting recording

Yours to keep. Share with anyone on your team who couldn't be there.

Inside the report

  • Stack inventory

What's deployed, what's licensed, what's actually being used.

  • Risk and opportunity map

Gaps, exposures, and quick wins ranked by priority.

  • Cyber insurance readiness check

Line-by-line against the baseline carriers require.

  • 12-month prioritized roadmap

Quick wins, medium-term moves, longer plays, each with rough cost ranges.

  • One-page executive summary

The version your CFO or board can read in five minutes.

Timeline

A typical engagement runs two to four weeks from kickoff to review meeting.

  1. 01Week 1

    Kickoff

1-hour call with your stakeholders. We agree on what's in scope and confirm the realistic timeline.

  2. 02Weeks 1–2

    Discovery

Interviews with key people, light read-only access to your stack, document review. We learn the business.

  3. 03Weeks 2–3

    Analysis and writeup

We do the work and put the report together. Roadmap drafted, gaps prioritized, costs estimated.

  4. 04Week 3 or 4

    Review meeting

90-minute walkthrough. We answer questions, then send the recording so anyone who missed it can catch up.

Larger or more regulated environments take longer. We'll tell you the realistic timeline before you commit.

Who this is for

Businesses that want a technology roadmap before making IT, software, or contract decisions. Good fits include:

  • Growing teams that outgrew their current setup and aren't sure what to do next
  • Owners weighing a big technology decision and wanting a second opinion
  • Companies planning a migration or office move that needs an IT plan first
  • Leadership teams building a technology budget for the year

How it differs from the AI Readiness Assessment

Two different products for two different needs. The AI Readiness Assessment is focused specifically on where AI fits in your business and credits the full $2,000 toward the 90-Day AI Accelerator. The Technology Strategy Assessment is broader. It looks at your whole technology stack (infrastructure, tools, security, workflows) and delivers a roadmap that isn't tied to a specific product. It does not credit toward the Accelerator.

What drives the price

The starting price is $3,500. Final pricing depends on a few things.

Team size

How many people are in the business, and how technical they are.

Locations

How many physical sites or office environments we need to look at.

Compliance

Whether SOC 2, HIPAA, CMMC, or other frameworks need validation.

Vendor evaluation

Whether you want us to compare specific vendors as part of the work.

Custom software

How much custom or industry-specific software lives in your stack.

We'll quote a final number after a 30-minute scoping call. No surprises.

Common questions

Do we need to give you access to our systems?

Read-only access to your Microsoft 365 admin center and a few key tools speeds things up significantly. If you'd rather we work entirely from interviews and shared documents, that also works. We'll discuss the right approach during the scoping call.

What if we already have an MSP?

That's fine. The assessment looks at your overall technology, including how well your current MSP is serving you. We tell you what's working and what isn't, and we don't pitch you on switching.

Can the report point to specific vendors or products?

Yes. We name names where the answer is obvious (Microsoft 365 Business Premium, specific backup tools, etc.) and stay vendor-neutral where the right answer depends on your business.

What happens after we get the report?

That's up to you. Some clients run with the roadmap themselves. Some hire us to execute pieces of it. Some use the report to evaluate other vendors. You're not on the hook for anything else after the assessment.
